Vagabond Theatre Company's "Actin' Up" Theatre Camp is a much anticipated annual event here at 3rd Avenue Theatre in Binscarth, MB. Thankfully, our Manitoba government has created best practice guidelines so camps like ours can run during pandemic while making changes to ensure that all involved safe and healthy. We are excited to meet this new challenge while keeping things accessible, educational, and most of all, FUN for all! We are, however, realistic and understanding of the unpredictability present in our 2020 world and are closely following changes and government protocols. We promise to keep you updated, too, and thank you for your trust and confidence.
Created with youth in mind, Actin' Up Theatre Camp teaches all aspects of stage performance and production for children ages 6 - 16. We encourage participation in acting, voice work, casting, and choreography; make-up, set, costume, and prop design; and production, background music, and directing. Although we cannot teach or perform singing musical numbers (due to provincial pandemic restrictions), there will be something for everyone at theatre camp. Campers will end the week by putting on and performing in their very own stage production. Seating for the final performance can be purchased during camp week or reserved for $5 each on the registration form, and paid for along with tuition fees. Your completed registration form can be scanned and emailed or letter mailed to the addresses listed on the poster above, which is also included on the registration form. Basic tuition is $210 per camper with an optional lunch fee of $45. Each camper receives a free Actin Up! T-Shirt which is worn at our final performance. Those registering after August 1st may not receive a T-Shirt due to limited supply. Please see the registration form for more information and cost breakdown. Please use ONLY the 2021 registration form. Applications submitted on forms from previous years may be rejected. There are limited spaces for each age group so please register early!
